RULES

The rules of present-day Magic are used except for what is written below.

  • Manaburn makes a return: when unused mana empties from your mana pool at the end of any step or phase, you’ll lose 1 life for each mana that empties this way.
  • Players lose the game when they have zero or less life only at the end of each phase. This state based action is the last thing happening before going to the next phase.
  • In order to encourage the maximum amount of matches being played, we enforce a no intentional draw policy.
  • There won’t be a playoff. The standings after the Swiss rounds are final.

ERRATA

Chaos Orb (2) – Artifact
1, Tap: Choose a nontoken permanent on the battlefield. If Chaos Orb is on the battlefield, flip Chaos Orb onto the battlefield from a height of at least one foot. If Chaos Orb turns over completely at least once during the flip, and lands resting on the chosen permanent, destroy that permanent. Then destroy Chaos Orb.
(Note: because of how Chaos Orb is worded, with it being destroyed after a flip, it can still be Disenchanted or Shattered in response to the activation. This is consistent with the wording of Chaos Orb not being sacrificed upon activation, as it probably would with modern templating.)

Falling Star (2R) – Sorcery
Choose up to two different creatures.
For each chosen creature, flip Falling Star onto the battlefield from a height of at least one foot. If Falling Star turns over completely at least once during the flip, and lands resting on the chosen creature, Falling Star deals 3 damage to this creature.
Tap each creature that has been dealt damage this way.
(Note: If you choose two creatures, you have to do a flip for each of them separately. If you hit a flip, but the creature doesn’t receive damage, protected by a “Healing Salve” for example, this creature will not be tapped. Falling Star doesn’t target.)
